Access Nurses Weekly- It Doesn’t Get Much Better Than This

Volume 7 Number 1 - November 2nd

Mammoth Lakes, California

A spring time contract at Mammoth Lakes, CA had my wife and I facing record snowfall. Just outside town, there are geothermal areas like Hot Creek, a mountain creek that runs over a hot water vent. Decades ago, some locals built a rock tub and diverted a hot spring into it.

The Next Adventure

I’ll be completing my first assignment in January in San Diego. So far I really loved the weather and outdoor activities. I’d like to travel somewhere else, but am not sure what place would match up with my interests.

I’m looking for a place that has mild winters and <90 degree weather in the summer. I want to be around nature of some sort - big trees, mountains, water, beach, etc…Definitely a place where I can go hiking or exploring. If anyone has advice, please let me know.

Tooth Fairy

While working for an organization that delivers lunches to elderly shut-ins, I used to take my four-year-old daughter on my afternoon rounds.

She was unfailingly intrigued by the various appliances of old age, particularly the canes, walkers and wheelchairs.

One day I found her staring at a pair of false teeth soaking in a glass. As I braced myself for the inevitable barrage of questions, she merely turned and whispered, “The tooth fairy will never believe this!”
