Beautiful Natural Sights in Washington!
“I just finished up my assignment at Good Samaritan in Washington and am headed out to Ohio for my next assignment with Access Nurses. Seattle was a beautiful city full of so much culture and history. During my assignment in Washington, I was able to explore the beautiful Mount Rainier National Park. This picture was taken in front of Narada Falls. It is probably the most well-known waterfall there. It stretched up to 75 feet wide depending on the water’s flow. It was such a cool experience!” ~Tony Z., RN

Taking in all the History of Boston!
“I was touring downtown Boston, and just finished touring the USS Constitution (an old Navy ship), and I thought this was a great photo op, because I could see the skyline in the background. I am standing in front of the USS Constitution’s anchor. I love Boston! The new people I have met are incredible, almost as incredible as seeing all the amazing history in the city and the snow!” ~Tarina S., RN

Motorcycling through California!
“I’m currently working in the ED of El Centro Regional Medical Center. My husband and I traveled from Georgia to California for my first assignment. We arrived in Sacramento to obtain my license, and then we rode our motorcycles all the way from Sacramento to my travel nurse assignment in El Centro. It was so different in every town we went through - from vineyards and orchards to mountains and desert. What a diverse and beautiful state! I love the people I’ve met during my assignment.” ~Donna P., RN

Husband and Wife in Nursing School

My wife (who is much younger) wants to be an RN. She is planning to go to community college to become an RN. I am a carpenter by trade. I am in my mid 40’s and I am half-thinking of a change. I would love to work in the medical field too…and I am almost tempted to join her in RN school. I wonder if any other couples tackled this as a team or not.

We’d love to hear your thoughts.

Access Nurses Weekly - Get Ready to Make a Diagnosis!

Friday, March 7th, 2008

Volume 14 Number 4 - March 7th

NurseTV - Diagnosis - The Only Game Show for Nurses

Let’s play Diagnosis! Test your knowledge on NurseTV’s fun and educational game show - and the only one of its kind! In this segment, NurseTV plays the game with RNs at an Access Nurses party in Orange County, California. Watch and play along with them.

NurseTV - Let’s play Diagnosis!

Here’s how to play:

Nursing contestants are asked to pick one of three envelopes from different nursing categories (Med-Surg, L&D, nursing fundamentals, etc.).

Host Marc Prescott reads the question and the possible answers aloud. The nurse contestant then has 10 seconds to respond.

And you have the opportunity to play along with the nursing contestants at home. The question and responses appear on the computer screen, as well as a timer. At the end of 10 seconds, find out if the nurse (and you) got the right answer.

One correct answer wins $25 worth of scrubs; two correct answers wins $50 worth of scrubs; and three correct answers wins $100 worth of scrubs.

As a fun bonus, one of the nurse contestants is former star of 13 WEEKS, Ron Coronado. Watch him join in the fun too and test his knowledge.

Click here to play Diagnosis. Stay tuned for more fun episodes of Diagnosis on NurseTV.com.

CSI RN

For forensic nurses, their job is real life CSI. Watch as one nurse guides NurseTV through the process of treating a sexual assault victim - from filing a police report to collecting evidence.

Best Part about Travel Nursing

I’ve worked as a permanent nurse for a little while now and I’m already getting burned out. I don’t have any close friends who are traveling nurses, but I’m curious about it. What are the best and worst aspects about traveling? If I’m thinking of traveling for the first time, when’s the best time to start?
