New to Travel Nursing in Surgery
I am interested in the top five questions that to ask a recruiter before making a decision to take a job in travel nursing.
My concern is the orientation process in a new facility. I work in surgery. Some use EMR and some don’t. How is a nurse oriented?
What other things should I be asking or checking out?

The Gift of Hearing
An elderly man had serious hearing problems for a number of years so he went to the doctor to find a solution. The doctor was able to have him fitted for a new hearing aid that allowed the man to hear perfectly again.
When he went back to see the doctor a month later for a check up, the doctor said, “Your hearing is perfect. Your family must be really pleased that you can hear again.”
The elderly man responded, “Oh, I haven’t told my family yet. I just sit around and listen to the conversations. I’ve already changed my will THREE times!”

…And Get Into a Fun and Relaxed State of Mind!
It is easy to see why New Mexico is referred to as “The Land of Enchantment.” With the state’s rose-painted deserts and snowy mountains, it is very easy to just kick back and enjoy the scenery. New Mexico exudes a comfortable, small town feel, even in the larger cities. It is the kind of place where people still smile and wave to strangers on the street. The state reigns supreme when it comes to supporting Native American history; there are museums and exhibits all over the state celebrating the culture. The weather is generally warm and mild throughout the year, with frequent afternoon thunderstorms in July and August, allowing the plant life to be lush and plentiful. Be sure to see the state’s top tourist attractions: Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, the location believed by many to be a UFO landing site in Roswell and the White Sands National Monument.
