Length of committment to travel company?

I am a RN in California. I am thinking about taking a travel contract. However I am curious how much of a committment you have to make
to your company. Can I take one contract for 6 months, then go back to being a staff RN at my hospital again? Or will they require me to
do a certain number of contracts?

Talking Dog

A guy is driving around and he sees a sign in front of a house: “Talking Dog For Sale.”

He rings the bell, and the owner tells him the dog is in the backyard. The guy goes into the backyard and sees a labrador retriever
sitting there.

“You talk?” he asks.

“Yep,” the lab replies.

“So, what’s your story?”

The lab looks up and says, “Well, I discovered that I could talk when I was pretty young. I wanted to help the government, so I told the
CIA about my gift, and in no time at all they had me jetting from country to country, sitting in rooms with spies and world leaders,
because no one figured a dog would be eavesdropping. I was one of their most valuable spies for eight years running.

“But the jetting around really tired me out, and I knew I wasn’t getting any younger, so I wanted to settle down. I signed up for a job at
the airport to do some undercover security work, mostly wandering near suspicious characters and listening in. I uncovered some
incredible dealings and was awarded a batch of medals. I got married, had a mess of puppies, and now I’m just retired.”

The guy is amazed. He goes back in and asks the owner what he wants for the dog.

“Ten dollars.”

The guy says, “This dog is amazing. Why on earth are you selling him so cheap?”

“Because he’s a liar. He didn’t do any of that stuff!”

find work for the older nurse

Maybe someone out in wild blue yonder can help me. I am an older nurse who works week-ends in
a nursing home as a supervisor. I have sent resumes’ out filled out applications but as of yet no

He thinks he’s a Surgeon

A man dies & goes to Heaven. Upon arriving at the Pearly Gates he is told “Welcome to Heaven,
everyone is equal here.” The man is then given a tour of Heaven and finds that it is indeed true.
The man decides he’s just got to try the food & goes & stands in the cafeteria line. While waiting ,a
man in green scrubs goes rushing to the front of the line & gets his food ahead of all the others.
“Hey, I thought everyone is equal here. Why did he cut line?”

“Oh, him?” says St Peter, “That’s God, he thinks he’s a surgeon.”

Please help me not to quit now!

I am a new grad and I took a job at a local nursing home because the hours were so great! It turned out that I was getting no training and within one week of graduation I was left by myself as a charge nurse. I am so frustrated and I don’t even know if I will ever be a good nurse……

Assistants Evaluation Memo

Judy Smith, my assistant, can always be found
hard at work in her station. Judy works independently, without
wasting hospital time talking to colleagues. Judy never
thinks twice about assisting fellow employees, and she always
finishes given assignments on time. Often, Judy takes extended
measures to complete her work, sometimes skipping coffee
breaks. Judy is an individual who has absolutely no
vanity in spite of her high accomplishments and profound
knowledge in her field. I firmly believe that Judy can be
classed as a high-caliber employee, the type which cannot be
dispensed with. Consequently, I duly recommend that Judy be
promoted to executive management, and a proposal will be
executed as soon as possible.

Regards - Charge Nurse

Shortly thereafter, the HR department received the following memo from the Charge Nurse:

Sorry, but that idiot (Judy) was reading over my shoulder while I wrote the report sent to you earlier today. Kindly read only the odd
numbered
lines for my true assessment of her…
